Grilled Bok Choy with Honey Ginger Glaze

Grilled Bok Choy with Honey Ginger Glaze

Are you a fan of Bok Choy? I love it in any Asian-inspired dish. The flavour in this is everything – Bok choy grilled in sesame oil, topped with a delicious, gooey, honey ginger glaze. You can steam, bake or grill bok choy but my new favourite way to cook these is to grill them! When grilled, it gives a lovely flavour that’s also highlighted by a few other ingredients: sesame oil, honey, ginger and teriyaki marinade sauce.

What is Bok Choy?

Bok choy or Chinese white cabbage is a staple ingredient in Asian dishes. The dark leaves taste very similar to spinach. The white-coloured stalks provide a nice, fresh crunch with a very mild bitter taste.

Bok choy is high in calcium, so if you have a dairy-free or vegan diet, this is great to add to your diet. It’s also rich in vitamin A (supports eye health), C (boosts immune function) and K (promotes bone and heart health). Like other dark, leafy greens, it’s full of antioxidants and other compounds that help to promote better health.
