Easy Ground Beef Chilli

If you have ground beef, some canned beans, and a few spices in your kitchen, then you’re good to go! This easy Ground Beef Chilli recipe is versatile, quick and easy. It’s hearty and meaty, with just the right amount of heat for a comforting weeknight dinner.

Chilli is one of my favourite fall and winter meals because it’s easy to toss together and keeps me warm during these chilly nights! Did I mention it leaves your house smelling sooo delicious? Packed with flavour, you’ll want this aromatic dish on your weekly menu!

What you need to make Ground Beef Chilli

  • Onion
  • Sweet peppers
  • Tomato
  • Garlic
  • Ground beef (lean)
  • Paprika
  • Salt
  • Oregano
  • Parsley
  • Basil
  • Pikapeppa sauce (Optional: This is a classic Jamaican sauce used to season food, specifically beef, pork and poultry. It adds a beautiful brown colour and additional flavour to your dish.)
  • Brown sugar
  • Red wine vinegar
  • Old El Paso Thick ‘N’ Chunky Salsa (you can choose medium, mild or hot)
  • Kidney beans
  • Chilli powder
  • Club House Chilli Seasoning Mix
  • Escallion (green onion)

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed and minced
  • 1 cup sweet peppers chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried parlsey
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp Pikapeppa sauce optional
  • 2 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 can kidney beans (540 ml)
  • 1/2 tbsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 pkg Club House Chilli Seasoning Mix
  • 1/2 cup Old El Paso Thick 'N' Chunky Salsa
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth or more as desired

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a large pan then cook onion and garlic until softened
  • Add peppers and tomatoes and cook until softened
  • Add ground beef, seasonings, red wine vinegar, and brown sugar. Cook until browned
  • Add salsa sauce, kidney beans, broth and Club House Chilli Seasoning Mix
  • Bring to a simmer and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally until the sauce is rich and thickened
  • Add extra seasoning to taste. Best paired with rice, tortilla chips, or corn bread
